Seaga to be honoured

KINGSTON, Jamaica, Oct. 4, CMC - Former Prime Minister Edward Seaga will be honoured by the Houses of Parliament for the role he played in crafting the country’s post Independence Parliamentary landscape

The tribute -  part of  Jamaica 50 celebrations, will be paid to  Seaga at a special Joint Meeting of the Houses on October 9 Gordon House – the seat of Parliament.

Seaga, the only surviving member of the team that drafted the Jamaican Constitution, is also one of three surviving members of the first Parliament of independent Jamaica.
