HAMILTON, Bermuda, Sept. 23, CMC - Deputy leader of the main opposition One Bermuda Alliance (OBA), Michael Dunkley has increased his lead over fellow politicians in favourability ratings, according to a new opinion poll published in Saturday's Royal Gazette newspaper.
Forty-seven per cent of voters say they have a favourable impression of the Dunkley, a senator . This represents a seven-point rise since May.
That puts Dunkley, a former MP who led the United Bermuda Party (UBP) in 2007, well ahead of Opposition Leader Craig Cannonier, a political newcomer who recorded a 35 per cent rating, and Premier and Finance Minister Paula Cox at 31 per cent.
While the percentage of voters who have a favourable impression of Cox remains relatively, the proportion of voters who view her unfavourably has increased from 35 per cent in May to 41 per cent.
