ROSEAU, Dominica, Sept 6, CMC - The main opposition United Workers Party (UWP) has written outgoing President Nicholas Liverpool indicating that the process to select his successor is flawed and is blaming the Roosevelt Skerrit administration for the situation.
Opposition Leader Hector John has also written to Speaker Alix Boyd Knights indicating that in his opinion the process is constitutionally flawed and “null and void”.
Last month, Prime Minister Skerrit blanked a request from the UWP to make public a letter sent to him by the outgoing head of state and instead named a retired public servant to replace the respected Caribbean jurist.
