Trinidad and Tobago celebrates Olympian with public holiday

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Aug 12, CMC - Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar has declared Monday a public holiday here as Trinidad and Tobago celebrates the performance of gold medalist Keshorn Walcott and the rest of the team at the London Olympics.

“In tribute to their achievements I have advised the acting President that Monday be appointed a national holiday….:” said Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissaser in a broadcast to the nation on Sunday.
