Bridgetown, Barbados, 04/07/2007 – CaribVision, the CMC’s 24-hour cable channel, is now available on Trinidad’s Columbus Communications (Flow) Cable Network via digital basic service on channel 31.
Effective July 1st, 2007, “Flow” customers no longer have to purchase the optional package “Flow in the Know” to access CaribVision’s regional lineup of News & Current Affairs, Talk Shows, Comedy/Drama, Entertainment, Travel, Cooking, Children/Educational, Game Shows, Sports and Cultural Events.
According to Rhea Yaw Ching, Flow’s Director of Sales, Marketing and Communications, “We moved CaribVision from a digital theme pack to basic distribution as part of our continued efforts to widen the scope of programming to our customers.”
“CaribVision is unique in the sense that it is the first of its kind. Our goal is to make the channel easily accessible to a number of people both regionally and internationally because it is informative, entertaining, accurate, comprehensive, and most importantly culturally rich & reflective of the Caribbean. Moving CaribVision to digital basic is just another step in helping us to achieve this goal,” says Michael Whyte, the CMC’s Commercial & New Business Development Manager.
CaribVision, “the eyes and ears of the Caribbean” is currently available in 19 Caribbean territories and in the USA via Direct TV.
